fees & Payment info

FEES 2023-24 SEASON

Introduction: For those who have never fenced before, this ten-week program introduces participants to basic skills and the logic of fencing. This fee includes fencing equipment .

After the introduction period all members are obligated to get a FENB/CFF membership by their own. There are two options and both provide sport insurance for the fencer and for the club.

Recreational Fencing Member  40$ - For participants in club-level activities only; can be up-graded to Fencing Member later. 

Fencing Member 75$- For participants in all activities, including provincial ones such as tournaments and training camps.

Beginners: For members who have completed an introduction program, this provides two weekly skill development practices. Fencers choose which classes they want based on age & skill. Note: There is no reduction for fencers who choose to attend only one practice per week.

Intermediate For participants of who are approved by the head coach and promoted from the beginners program.

Foil Open: For fencers with experience in foil !

Elite epee: For members aiming to perform competitively beyond the Atlantic region, this program provides more intensive technical-tactical training and physical conditioning. Depending on COVID-19 restrictions, two or more competition trips beyond Atlantic Canada will be organized. Fencers in this program must be approved by the Head Coach and are strongly encouraged to take private lessons to accelerate development and progress (additional fees)

Commitment: Please note that club membership for returning fencers assumes that the fencer is committed to the full length of the program: 5 months for each term or 10 months for the full school year. If a fencer chooses to leave a program prior to its end, it is expected that the full payment will be paid. If the fencer is unable to complete a term due to health reasons or for special circumstances, please speak with the Executive Director to request a special arrangement.

E-transfer payments: This option is only available if fees are paid by the term or the school year. E-transfers must use the standard designated security question and be sent to our membership registrar at: damoclesmembership@gmail.com

Equipment Fees: must be paid at the start of each term in a single payment per term  (September & February)

Family Discount: The second and subsequent members of a family (residing in the same household) will receive 10% off the regular program fee and equipment rental fee. This discount applies to standard and intensive programs only.
