Damocles Fencing Club (Fredericton, NB) collects personal information only to run the club: registration, class scheduling, safety, payments and communication with members, parents and coaches.
What we collect
- Fencer details from the registration form: name, date of birth, contact details, school, health notes, emergency contacts, and parent/guardian details for fencers under 18.
- Program enrolment, attendance, equipment loans and payment records.
- If you sign in with Google, Microsoft or Facebook: your name and email address only. We never receive your password and never post on your behalf.
How it's used and shared
Information is used by club coaches, board members and volunteers for club activities. It may be shared with Fencing-Escrime NB and the Canadian Fencing Federation when required for licensing or competition. It is not sold, and not shared with anyone else unless required by law.
The public schedule shows class times, coaches, prices and how many fencers are enrolled. It never shows fencers' names.
We email members and parents about classes, cancellations, payments and club news. Each person gets their own copy, so nobody sees anyone else's address.
Every club email has an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. Using it stops all club email to that address and removes the address from our records; your fencing history with the club is kept. Emails you ask for, such as a sign-in code or password reset, still arrive. To hear from us again, just register or give us your email again.
Where it's stored
Data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centres in Canada (Canada Central).
Seeing, correcting or deleting your data
Signed-in members can review and update their family's details in the member portal. To have your account or your family's records deleted, including data received through Facebook, Google or Microsoft sign-in, email damoclesfencing@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my data". We'll confirm within 30 days. Financial records may be kept for as long as the law requires.
